Hi there I'm Natalie...

Makeup artist, consultant, executive groomer, masterclass host, speaker and makeup tutor.

I have been a professional makeup artist and consultant for 12 years....

Prior to that I spent 13+ years in corporate marketing and advertising, working for companies including Bloomberg, M&C Saatchi and McLaren Racing.

Today I am a makeup artist, consultant, executive groomer, masterclass host, speaker and makeup tutor.

I specialise in helping to connect individuals with the right products for them. Not just products to suit their skin tone and eye colour (though, naturally, that is a given), but products which are aligned with my clients most authentic and aspirational version of self. AKA, the person you are on a great day. I help that version of you to visually shine.

I work with women, men and non-binary individuals for whom great skincare and makeup is part of their ‘grooming arsenal’.

During my 12-year career as a pro makeup artist I have been fortunate to have worked in every sector of makeup artistry imaginable. My breadth of experience currently spans:

Executive Grooming

I am considered an expert in the area of ‘executive grooming’. That is to say the strategic application of makeup and grooming for individuals who want, or need, to look fresh-faced and subtly polished in front of the camera.’ Situational drivers for executive grooming vary and may be prompted by the need for a new company head shot, an business event, or a speaking engagement on stage. I am also called upon to provide natural glamour for my clients’ milestone birthdays and other special events in their lives outside work.

1:2:1 Makeup Tuition

I teach ‘backstage’ and TV studio makeup techniques and tricks to professionals wanting to learn how to improve their makeup skills from the comfort of their own home or hotel if visiting the UK for work. Knowing how to recreate their own ‘game face’ takes the pressure out of knowing what to buy and how to apply it. Not only is a personalised makeup routine empowering but it also provides my clients with an opportunity to visually strengthen their Personal Brand among peers and bosses.

Impartiality

Coming from a comms background means I instinctively know how to assess a skincare or makeup product based on texture, performance and efficacy alone, despite the often luxurious packaging and alluring branding. I understand how brands are built, their strategies for growth and the ways in which brands target their ideal customer. I know what goes into the creation of a brand ‘tone of voice’ and how campaigns are created and developed. Not only does this help me when advising my clients on what products to buy; (the strategy being to essentially ignore sexy packaging and choose items based on their performance and relevance) but also when it comes to guiding clients towards products which help them to strengthen their Personal Brand; aka the most authentic, empowered and aspirational version of themselves.

Corporate positioning

A comms background also means I understand what brands and companies are looking for in their quest to create impactful photographic and video content. This can be key when needing to strike the right tone with visual imagery and the way stakeholders or employees comes across in their visual comms.
